Well it will be four weeks since Kimberly's last dose of Cytoxan, and the results are very promising. Her platelets have been at a low of 287K and a high now of 580K. White count 12.2, HMG 10.2 everything seems to be holding well. Two doses of growth factors ( neupogen and lunesta, nasty stuff ) to keep the white count up but all in all things are looking great. Tapering the steroids down now to 30mgs daily and hopefully as the weeks progress, she'll be off them entirely. She is loosing her hair, but that's a small price to pay. She took control and had her hair cut in a pixie cut. Thought it might fall out a bit slower. Personally I think it looks better short, but she looked great with long hair also. Hey I'm her Dad. I might be a bit bias.

So a big thumbs up. There just might be a light at the end of this tunnel after all.

This is nice to hear! This is only the second time ever that I have seen Cytoxan actually work for ITP. Fingers crossed for lasting results!
