Paula you need to post this in the Adults with ITP section - you have it now in the section for suggestions/information about the forum.

Lots have had their spleen removed with varying results. One thing you might do is go up to the tabs [labeled: Index - Recent Topics - New Topic - My Topics - Profile - Search] and click on search and search. There are lots of articles posted too regarding splenectomy and they would be of help to you.
