Iv question was created by Kelirae24
So I have terrible veins I had a port but got it removed recently after 5 years, was in the hospital about three weeks ago and while I was getting a blood transfusion my vein blew bad and was sore for a good week and a half, it went away and was fine, woke up this morning with it tender and swollen again, anybody know why this would happen?

I went to the hospital and they said I had superficial phlebitis platelets were at 150 so I was told to take some aspiring and hot compresses and Percocet which I won't take cause I hate pain pills, but I'm glad I went out my mind at ease at least this hurts
