Hello,

I am sabeeh from India. I am also suffering ITP since June 2013. Doctor yesterday advised me to undergo removal of spleen surgery. He also proscribed me this expensive tablets Revolade(Eltrombopag) GBP132.3385225 medicine for 30 days. I have decided not to go undergo surgery. I am going to get hospitalize and take some steroids for 5 days. As of now my count is 62,000. Every 6 months i am doing this to avoid major complications.

I also tired taking Papaya leaves juice for 6 months without taking any medicines except vitamin tablets it worked for me and Platelets count was average between 60K to 70K. Only thing now i am going to take steroids is i have severe leg pain due to low count and no doctors are giving me pain killers to recover from leg pain. I am limping and leg pain is unbearable. Looking forward to better results in a week. Please pray for me. Hope one day we all will be fine and live our life without fear of dying. God is Great !!

Hi Sabeeh,

As Sandy had mentioned, your platelet count is actually doing very well. Your leg pain needs to be checked out to find out what is really wrong. The steroids will help with the pain, but when you stop the steroids, the pain might come back. Did you injure yourself somehow?

Hope they find out what has happened to your leg. Wishing you the best.

Hello Dee Dee,

Thank you for your suggestion. I appreciate it. No i did not hurt myself. It all started with a prick sensation on my right (like a sudden shock in my nerves). I ignored and it started gradually increasing as i was not taking any medicine. It developed so much that i find very difficult to walk properly. It's been since March.

Pain is so much that I can't climb stairs and I can't run nor walk properly. I just can't rely on my right foot to keep it fwd. This s going to be fourth time i will taking some steriods under medical supervision for a week. Cousin wedding ahead so i have to look normal. Hope you understand what I mean!! Ppl only know to talk about someone's ailments and laugh. It's so hard at times to keep mentally strong. Hoping for the best!! Take care.

Regards,
Sabeeh

Hi Sabeeh,

That is really a puzzle. It could be many things, but you will definitely need a doctor
to help you figure this out. Have you also tried any NSAIDS? Sometimes this will help
with the inflammation.

Good luck to you and hope it get better.
