throwing up from prednisone with drawals?

Hey has anyone gotten nausea and puking from prednisone withdrawals? My last 10mg pill was thanksgiving day and yesterday was awful I ended up getting sick and today I feel same way

Chels I have never heard of that - but who knows.

My suspicion would be that you didn't start throwing up until a week after your last pill. Maybe you have a bug?

I don't think vomiting is a normal symptom of withdrawal. Maybe a virus or something you ate? Call your GP if it doesn't stop.

While on the prednisone, did you take a stomach protectant like zantac? Prenisone can irritate the stomach lining, and I would assume that damage could manifest even after the last pill, but it's more likely it would have been hurting all along. I'd see the doc and make sure to mention the prednisone. Meanwhile, I don't think there is any harm that could come of taking over the counter zantac to see if that helps while you are waiting to see the doc. (Assuming you can keep the zantac down for a few minutes so it can start working.) Hope you feel better soon.
