Prednisolone second time around.

So was just wondering if anyone had the same response to prednisolone second time around?

First time i was on 90mg was buzzing around like a bee, hyper and got so much done. Even my boss said stay on them! Ha So productive.

I am now back on 90mg as i had a drop of a count of 2. Been on them for a week and wow. So tired, lethargic and really battle to move off the couch!

Only difference this time around is i am taking transanamic acid. A high dosage 500mg three times a day. Maybe this could be the reason?

Just not sure why it would be different second time on steroids?

Every time a person goes back on steroids, it gets more difficult. The side effects can be harsher, hit sooner, and can be different. I never got the energy that other people claim to have. All I did was shake and feel like I was going in circles. I was always exhausted and never had trouble sleeping. I never felt euphoric, I felt confused and ready to snap all the time.

Since you pretty much just came off of them, your body hasn't even had time to get back to normal. That is a high dose and if this doesn't do it for you, I think I'd insist on trying something else.

I had two treatment periods that started at 100mg (and later three combined with other stuff that started with 20mg) on both of them the initial feeling was very similar: Dumb and happy and exhausted.

After a few days in the second treatment this feeling was much weaker than in the first round. So overall I had less side effects during the second time.

A friend of mine who takes steroids for different reasons has sometimes no sideeffects at all, and sometimes highs and sometimes lows. I think two treatments are never the same.
