36% sounds impressive doesn't it? :)

My hematologist called me just now to let me know my platelet count from yesterday: 15k !

Hey, it's up from 11k last month. I seem to be holding in the 8k-16k range for the past 6 months.
Not that the number matters much. I'm not bleeding out of my eyeballs and bruising is just bruising. I bruise, therefore I am!

Honestly....I was surprised it was 15k. I spent three days last weekend at ComFest. Three days of music in the sun (5 music stages), catching up with friends and old bandmates who were playing there, eating lots of junk, drinking a bit of beer (just beer, that's my story and I'm sticking to it)....my wife and I had a great time.
Then my new long bow arrived Saturday....so this week I've put a little too much stress on my wrist and back working with the 30% increase in draw weight. What can I say, it's more fun to shoot the thing than to just sit and admire it.

I'll get another platelet count in a month or two. No worries. Life continues.

Yep...fun!
It's a good thing I had fun over the weekend. The storms hit us Monday afternoon and knocked my power out until last night. I chainsawed one downed tree yesterday. Tomorrow I'll take the chainsaw to the tree limbs scattered about and haul it all out. Friday I will climb up on the second-story roof and repair the gutter the wind ripped loose.

Now where did I leave my foam-rubber helmet? No worries... I'm at 15k, so toss me that chainsaw! B)

You can throw chainsaws? I can barely pick up an axe! let alone throw a chainsaw!

That weekend sounds amazing glad you enjoyed it!
