Nplate seems to be not working was created by Christine
I saw my hema today and he is concerned that my wbc is up from when I started nplate (2 and half years ago) he said is was not a side effect of nplate. Also my lymphosite (sp) was up slightly from a bone marrow test I had 3 mths ago. He said he was concerned about these things and ordered a molecular blood test and another BMB in a few weeks. My counts the last few months have been in the 25 - 35 range. I have been feeling well but he was concerned there was an underlying issue. I can and have certainly operated on a lot less plts. I thought I had this ITP thing under control and was happy with things until this time.
What does all this mean should I be ocncerned and what can I do except wait for the results of these testsÉ
Christine :)

Christine,

It's hard not to worry sometimes, but maybe your doctor is just being very cautious. If you are feeling well then that is a good thing and makes it less likely that there could be another problem.
