That may be true, but I for one, never have a clue. I never know if what I have going on is a side effect, a symptom, or if I'm sick. Some of my meds lately can cause a cough, so I never know if it's the meds or if I actually have a cough. Since I'm always congested and it is worse at certain times of the year than others, I don't know if it's normal or bronchitis. Fevers are common with Lupus and illnesses. Which is it? Usually by the time I get to the Dr., it's pretty bad.

If I do have a weird thing going on, none of my Dr.'s think much of it. I wake up about 3 times a week in the middle of the night feeling really achy and can't get back to sleep. If a normal person complained of that, it would be investigated. I get a shrug. It's like that with most of the symptoms I have that can make life miserable. Don't know what is causing it and don't know how to fix it.

The more weird things you have going on, the less anyone pays attention to it. They chalk it up to depression (not) and want to prescribe anti-depressants.

Dru - I only took 30 mg's today. Couldn't do that to myself one more day and in the long run, I don't think it's going to make much difference.

Good, 30 is still a lot, but hope you are at least a little less wired up. For me I don't feel at all like myself until I get to 10 or 15.
Hope you are feeling better.

I've had weird sleep/waking up problems like you described too. It usually lasts for a week or more then gradually gets better. Sometimes so achy I can hardly get up to walk to the bathroom.

I had something similar a few years ago when I had low ferritin. Took two years to find out what caused it. I couldn't get to sleep because I felt like I had RLS in my entire body. I was up every night until 2 or 3 am. Anyway, when I found out my ferritin was low (by accident), I found out that RLS can be a symptom of that. I started iron and within two weeks, it went away.

This is a little different in that I get to sleep, but it wakes me up. It feels like that achy flu feeling when you have a high fever. This has been going on since last summer. Maybe I'll try some iron again and see if it helps. I'll let you know.

That sucks big time about the liver things.

I believe in that being in tuned with your body will help pick things up quicker. Like Sandi said I've had doctors shrug things I've mentioned because of my history. Sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get them to look into things closer.

My family doctor just says that's your specialist job. or knowing you what do you expect!
