Thanks for your reply! When you say the Promacta "didn't work," was that because your numbers were so inconsistent, or did you actually "crash" despite the 75 mg dose you had been taking? I guess what I'm wondering is how your doc defined "failure" on Promacta. I hope the Nplate gives you better stability, but I'm not sure what the difference between the two drugs is (they are both TPO's, yet some people do better on one over the other). Does anyone else have any info on these differences??!!

Nplate is a peptide mimetic that binds to the distal hematopoietic receptor domain.

Promacta is a non-peptide mimetic that binds to the transmembrane domain.
