I received rituxan friday and reacted which the nurses.said is common for first treatment! I stayed the night in the hospital.because it took 12 hrs to infuse because they did it so slow because of the reaction. I felt fine when i left and last night i started to feel sick vomiting and diareah! Is this common? Still this morning i dont feel well

I remember only one other person reporting vomiting, it was during the treatment and it seemed very unusual. I don't think that's a common reaction.

My husband did have some stomach upset for a couple of days after infusion. No vomiting though.

Have you called the hospital or your Dr. to ask what to do?

I would recommend asking the doctor!

My son only had two side effects that he noticed

a) an altered sense of taste that is still there, two months after the last infusion
b) tiredness, although the doctor said this was likely to be due to the steroids that were given along with the rituximab, rather than the rituximab itself.

Maybe you got some sort of virus and it just happened to coincide with the infusion? That is a pretty unusual reaction.
