Non-murine version of rituxan? was created by tamar
I haven't been following treatments lately, since my last tx was early in 2008. At that time I think there was research going on with a non-murine tx that worked the same way as rituxan. Whatever happened with that; does anyone know?

I don't know...haven't heard a word. I don't usually research drugs that are in the pipeline, so I don't know if it's stuck or it died.

Has it been four years already? Whoosh...

No problem with mouses. As long as they stay out of my house! One of them (Anti CD20 monoclonals--I looked it up to remind myself) was injectable instead of IV. And new means improved, doesn't it?

EDIT: Actually it's been 5 years since last tx. Feb-March 2008! Time flies.

Is it veltuzamab? There is a clinical trial of that for itp. I wish I lived near one of the trial sites, I would love to be in that. It is an injection.

Not for Tamar, but anyone who had an allergy problem with regular Rituxan note that non-mouse Rituxan will not be safe for you. I asked Dr. Lieberman at conference a few years ago and he said do not use it.

I've been advised to stay away from all biologicals. Benlysta and Enbrel have been suggested to me many times, but since I seem to have reactions to everything anymore, I'm too afraid to try them.

I've even had two antibiotics make my eye lids swell lately.
