Count is dropping was created by amberyard
Had 8 rounds of rituxan platelets topped out at 105 and are dropping now. Last count was 77, going to a new doctor 2/28/13. Looking for anyone that treats themselves and doesn't go to the doctor but for CBC's.

Thanks for any help
Amber

Hi Amber,
Those 8 rounds of rituxan has been quite a bit. Wasn't it a while ago that you had the rituxan? Your platelets at 77 still isn't bad, so try not to worry too much. I remember you said you were going more of the natural route. There are still quite a few on the board that are doing the natural route--and just going for CBCs. One girl does a special diet and her platelets are from 20 to 40. Hopefully, she might post for you.

Good luck to you,

Dee Dee

Amber,

The flu has been going around and it is really a nasty flu bug. You should go to the doctor
to see if he can give you something to help clear up your chest. Being this sick will also make your platelets fall.

Hope you can take care of this and feel better soon.

I saw my doctor for a CBC and one week later had to call his cell. He put me on cipro and pred, feel much better but cough is still here. Its not as bad as it was, but the cold turned into walking pneumonia.

Amber,
Sure glad you did get a hold of your doctor. It did sound like you were really sick. My husband gets like you; a bad cold turns into something worse. I'm glad you are feeling better--but, please continue to watch yourself and get rest. This could be why your platelets went down. Mine will do the same thing when I am sick.

Hope you feel better real soon.

Dee Dee
