hello I just do the first retuximab yesterday and I encounter a fever so we need to stop the transfusion, I also have chills, they gave me paracetamol then when the fever went down we continue again the retuximab, I hope it would help me, Ive been wondering because today I have bleeding episode in gums which is quite a lot dont know what to do? the doctor advice me to drink 20mg of prednisolone and danazol.

my count during first tranfusion was 5
lets see next week

wish me luck as retuximab is not easy to handle, I do hope it would be better soon I feel so tired and having terrible headache...

Sometimes the first infusion is the hardest, and the next ones go much easier. I hope that is the case for you. Make sure they give you pre-meds; that will help.

It will take a few more weeks before you can say for sure if you are responding to Rituxan. Usually it takes 4-12 weeks from the first transfusion. It looks like you are about 4 weeks from the first transfusion. It could still totally work for you.
