Hi have just started on low dose Nplate 2weeks ago with count of 1 after a week only had a count of 2 not a good response have been given higher dose this week so wait in anticipation to see response can this take a while thanks marosa

Yes it can take a while. There are ten doses to try until you know it's not working. I got up to the 5th dose before levelling off. I've now been able to drop back down the doses again and am on the lowest dose now.

My Dr. is weaning me off prednisone, 1mg every 10 days. I'm currently on 5mg daily. He's talking about possibly using Nplate as a supplement/treatment to help me maintain a count of 50k. This is all new to me, as I've been on Prednisone/danazol for 16 years. Has anyone had any success with Nplate? What about any side effects? Thanks!

I've used Nplate for three years now with good success and had no side effects. My last platelet count a few weeks ago was 80.
