Revolade / Eltrombopag Fatigue was created by heyseuss
Hello,
I have been on 50mg Revolade for almost 6 weeks, and still have to go for ivig every 2 weeks (was told it can take a month to start working). Before calling this a bust as well, hematologist is recommending trying 75mg for a month and see what happens.
Problem is, FATIGUE.
I can barely wake up in the morning since i have started the Revolade. Has this happened to anyone else?
I am full body tired all the time, and vision is blurry. Also had some major dizzy spells out of nowhere last week.
Does anyone have any suggestions to help with the fatigue/inability to wake up?

You get accustomed to it all eventually; the drug and the fatigue.
50mg didn't work for me at first either. I ended up on 75mg, which kept my count around 55k-65k. after a year, we dropped it back to 50mg (that keeps me around 40k-50k).
The fatigue did not go away for me over the past 2.5 years of taking Promacta. I have my own theories on that. Part of which is that the drug forces your body to produce far more platelets than normal. Platelets aren't made by little elves in a hollow tree, so the body is expending a greater-than-normal amount of energy to produce a greater-than-normal amount of platelets....24/7. YMMV
I'm exhausted just thinking about it.
