i sent you email , may be you didn't have time to read it, my son just got his first infusion of rituximab , he had no fever , or rash , first day went well, second day as well , we discharged from the hospital , back home , he feels tired , fatigues , and his lymph under his arm was bothering him, itchy ,
he visit his doctor , he checked his all lymph node but he said nothing , but after i read a lot of side effect i have a feeling that it could be serum sickness , what do you think and what shall i do , if it is that ,any input will help , i didn't sleep 2 nights ,i'm so warry about him :sick:

Sorry, I sometimes can't keep up with e-mails.

I don't think he has serum sickness. That will usually occur 14 to 21 days after the first infusion. Also, if he had it, you'd probably know for sure. His joints would be swollen and it would be very painful to move. There is usually a fever, headache, hives, red circle at the infusion site, etc. The symptoms that you get are so bad that most people go to the ER.

Feeling flu-like can be a symptom for a day or two. Maybe he is having that reaction.

If he gets worse though, definitely call the doctor.

yes he seems like he has a flue for one or two days , and feel better after , so in this case he can get the second one or not, and his doctor gave him 100 mg the first time , and wants to give him 375 this week ,so what dose he should get , and is there any difference ,

Farida, we can't advise you what dose your son should get. Is there a reason you don't trust your doctor?
