Hi guys, just wondered if you'd all heard the new warnings and recommendations on treating with WinRho. A nice easy treatment made less easy it seems..

"Patients should be closely monitored in a health care setting for at least eight hours after administration, including taking multiple urine samples (also called urinalysis) during the monitoring period."

Hi, Ann -
Thanks for the information, although it made me feel ill. Brady is scheduled to receive WinRho (well, actually RhoGam, but I'm thinking the same warning may apply) on Monday. It's important to read about and know all of these possible complications, but it's disheartening to not have something that is 100% guaranteed SAFE for Brady to use so that he can do normal, 13-year-old boy activities whenever he wants.

I'm going to email his doctor now to see what she says, then I think I'll let myself be mad for a bit, then bounce back in time for Brady to return from school!

Thanks again,
Beth - mom to Brady (age 13, diagnosed 1/18/02)
