rituxan was created by brittany
i had rituxan for the 1st time (once a week for 4weeks)
My blood pressure dropped like 80s/50s and i got very cold & shaking & vomiting. They gave my a steroid and dermerol- made the symtoms stop within minutes. Just very tired/weak after.
These side effects common with anyone else? i figure may as well finish the treatments ( drs slowing my infusion)

I had the cold/shaking but never the vomiting (but I was never very hungry during or for about a day afterwards) Did he pre-treat you with anything before giving the Rituxan?

My doctor also treats with ranitidine(zantac)before giving me the rituxan. I've never had any vomiting problems either time.

I had Tylenol, Benedryl, and Dexamethasone (Dex) every time. I did get the chills/shaking almost everytime I had Rituxan, but the speed of the infusion (slowing it down) helped me a lot. I also had less shaking when I got more dex up front, however the side effects of the dex itself outweighed those benefits to me so I tried to get as little dex as possible (bleh steroids!)
