Ive been off rituxan and have had 100K+ counts for around six and a half months and i noticed some big bruises this morning

so one does this mean rituxan has stopped working

and two since it only lasted a half of year does that mean it wont work in the future

It could be your partner kicked you in your sleep, or you bumped into something. Get a count and check it out.

With Rituxan, if you achieve normal counts you are more likely to have a sustained remission of several years.

I've not seen any research on how likely it is that subsequent doses will help based on your response.

My first time with Rituxan lasted 9 months. My second time is over three years so far. My counts are usually a little over 200.

Get it checked out!

Rituxan lasts a year on average. Some get less, some get more. I had 13 months my first time. I have six years this time. Chances are, if it worked once, it can work again.

I am not meaning to be pessimisitc here but if it works once it more likely to work again.... does that mean, if it hadn't worked well once then chances are next time it not work well again.....? though that depends on what one means by worked well. My counts went up to nice high but within 6 month back right down again....

My first treatment lasted 11/2 yrs, counts were around 170k's when it finally kicked in. Second treatment will be 2yrs in Oct. Next option will probably be Promacta. I was in the 350k's a few months ago now in the 160k's about a month ago. So, not sure if it is wearing off or if I am leveling off.

My first Rituxan treatment lasted 7+ months. The second one didn't work at all. Promacta is doing what it's supposed to do now!

My 1st round of Rituxan lasted for about 2 years.... 2nd round my body rejected it, so it didn't take at all for me.

But I agree with Erica, I would get myself checked out. And just because it may have stopped working doesn't necessarily mean you won't be able to take in the future.
