Medications not covered, too expensive? was created by Brittany Davis
Hello All,

As a journalist, a woman with PDSA reached out to me last week. She told me that she cannot get access to her medicine because it's $4,000 per month. She was first on a drug called Nplate, which she was able to get because she was a part of a study. Then the woman was put on pills called PROMACTA 25 MG, which cost $2,000 per month. Apparently the medications both really help but Medicare won't pay for them and neither will private insurance.

Has anyone else in Florida had a similar experience? I'm concerned for this woman and would like this story to get out there. If you're having trouble getting your drugs because they are too expensive, please call my cell phone at (DELETED)

Thank you,
Brittany
