We have an appointment on 4/26 for bone marrow biopsy and doctor has enrolled in the promacta proticol and assume we will start treatment. Recommendation is to start with 25mg dose and monitor reaction. This is my 20 year old daughter, sophomore in college. Her platelet count was 17,000 yesterday and some vaginal bleeding issues even with taking 2 bc pills per day for last 3 days. She has been shut down since last October, because this is her main problem. But, slightly increased the prednisone and an extra bc pill and the bleeding seems to have slowed. She also had some petecia this past week. Hoping for the best with promacta and hoping to get her off the prednisone.
