Rituxan treatment was created by brenda
I am starting on dexamethasome again after one year off. My counts have dropped to 26,000. I am told that if they do not go up the next step will be Rituxan treatments. has anyone had any luck with this or are the side effects pretty bad.

Brenda,

WHen you say you have been off for a year do you mean that Dexamethasone put you into remission for a year? How long did you take it the first time? How did you take it? I am on it now and taking it for 4 days 10 a day then off for a week or so then supposedly back on. Is this how you took it?

I hope it works for you and me..

Shannon

Brenda - most people do pretty well with Rituxan as far as side effects. It can be far easier than Dex! The average remission is a year, some get more, some get less.

I take 10 pills for 4 days and start again in 28 days. I was on it for 3 months and then off for 7 months and just starting back up. My counts stayed right around 40,000 for those months inbetween. I even got up to 200,000 once. Guess I am lukey I have a longer break between dosage because this Dexamethasone is yuk. Good luck with your treatments. What are your numbers
