from40mg prednisone to 20mg a day

my counts raise from 34-47,my prednisone 40mg a day-20mg a day,how i hope it will reduce my moon face?/what do you think guys?well i hope so,i hate this face!!!

Hi Rainlyn you seen to be getting to the lower end of the prednisone road so soon you should see a return to your old self. I was on prednisone for ten months last year and yeah had the moon face and all the other things that come with this drug, the thing I always tried to think off was that this drug and all it's side effects was helping me. Be proud of the fact that you are fighting a battle with ITP and you will get better.
It will take time for the moon face to go, but it will go!I know it can be hard but sometimes I think it may be just the paranoia that comes with prednisone makes you think you look so bad, the people that love you will love you no matter what you look like and bugger the rest of them.
Learn to laugh again you know I did some pretty silly things while I was on prednisone, my poor husband once drove me to town three or four times in one day, I was sure I wanted to go shopping but each time he parked the car I started to cry (dont really know why)he would take me home and then I wanted to go back.
Such a patient man!!!

Milly - I have nearly the exact same story about a shopping trip with my husband. He turned around five or six times on the way because I kept crying.

Yeah Sandi, some really funny things happen and it's good to be able to laugh at them, maybe a good topic to start so we can share the joy. I also had a pretty funny one with some boiled eggs that I tried to peel for a salad, needless to say there wasn't much of the eggs left between the shaking and a bit of rage.

hi dhars,are you a filipino too??haiistt its really hard but what can i do pred helps me,thats why i need this,on march 21 my daughter will grad from kinder2,and i dont want to go and wear a formal dress with this kind of face,and then people will look at me from head to toe,thats why i dont want to go on her grad,maybe her grandma will accompanied her,it hurt me so as a momy not to be a part of that program,but i feel so uncomfortable when i go,,i dont want to go for shopping now,i just stayed in the car, my husband and my daughter will to buy,haiisttt

Milly - we could be twins from a past life. I don't have the patience to peel eggs even when I'm NOT on Prednisone. If the peels fall off, I'm fine. If I have to pick at them, my husband does it or I'm tempted to throw them at the wall.

Rainlyn - my goodness! I'm sure you don't look that bad! You're not Godzilla and people will not start running when they see you coming. Who cares what people think...your daughter is the important one. Most of us work and we surely can't stop working and living because we have a Pred Head. Really, there are worse things in life. Enjoy your daughter and her accomplishments....go and have a good time.
