Hi Kelirae,

I am on the Promacta trial and have been for the past four years. Promacta works in a similar way to N-plate.

I have had ongoing nausea throughout this time, which varies in intensity. I take anti-nausea medication to help deal with it. At times I can not do anything due to the intensity of the nausea.

I also experience headaches and tummy trouble as side effects of the drug too.

I have to weigh up the side effects of the drug vs the risk of constant very low counts as one who bleeds.

Hi Kelirae! Could you do me a favor and post in the "Adults with ITP" sections instead of the "New Forum Information" section? You'll get better responses if you post in the right area.

I have been having a weekly injection of Nplate for a year now. At first I experienced some nausea and for a long time I had headaches. Now I have no side effects.
