Don passed away yesterday suddenly from a cerebral hemmorage. He arrived at the hospital with a count of 1 and they said there was nothing they could do to bring up his platelets so they could operate. I want to thank all of you have helped me through this short time with ITP. You help and wisdom was very much appreciated. Hug your children, spouses and parents for me and I wish you all have a life free from ITP symptoms. Thank you and goodbye. Nancy

I'm so sorry Nancy, I wish there was something I could say or do to help take the pain away, but I know I can't. You and your family are in my prayers and thoughts for the coming days and months. I am very saddened by this news, just know your ITP family here will always be here if you need to talk.

Dear Nancy,

I was very sad to read of your loss - and shocked. No doubt you are in shock too. Please consider staying around, as in time you may find it helpful to have the support of others who understand, and as Sandi said care. Right now you will be taking it day by day, please know that you are in my prayers for comfort, peace and support at such a difficult time. Sending you a huge cyber hug all the way from New Zealand.

Dear Nancy,

I'm so sorry to hear this! You both had been through so much already. But what a testament to love you were, with him through thick and thin. You'll both be missed.
I pray you'll find peace and comfort over time.

Big hugs,
April

Nancy, I am so sorry to hear about Don's passing! It doesn't seem possible! :( I hope you will take some comfort in knowing that you have also supported the rest of us during Don's journey by sharing his ITP experiences. It goes to show how sometimes as a caregiver, we try to do everything we can and in the rare of the rarest cases, ITP still wins! Please know that we are all thinking of you during this time of grief! Hugs to you!

Nancy,
I am so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers. This is the scariest risk of ITP, and I pray for a day when ITP can be cured and no family goes through this grief again with ITP.

My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time as am more than aware of the risk with myself this summer being told to go straight to the city hospital if I experience blurred vision. (and on wait and see at moment) I have since worked out mine could be related to vertigo migranes but nothing has been verified as haven't experienced another episode (yet). I am only writing this to help you realise I am more than aware of the cerebal bleeds and hemorrages. Am sorry you experienced this and I hope you wont be offended by me praying for you at this time?

Am so very sorry

I read this post yesterday, and I think I was so shocked, I just didn't know what to say....
I still really dont know what to say, other than I am so very, very sorry.

Please don't leave the group here. This group really cares.
You were so attentive to Don's needs, and tried so hard with research etc to find anything that you could to help him.
I know nothing we say will make it better, but know you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Please stop by when you are up to it, and let us know how you are doing.

My deepest sympathies.
