I have read that ITP can be caused by non-immune disorders such as chemo with cancer and prosthetic leaking heart valve. This may sound off the wall but I have mitral valve disorder and knowing the prosthetic heart valve after surgery is one of the non-immume reason could a defect in heart valve cause MAYBE?? similar problems with low platelets?
