holding pattern.... was created by server
It's been 8 weeks since I've had NPlate and 7 weeks since Rituxan ended. My counts are staying in the safe range, anywhere from 44 to 94. I went to doc yesterday and he has changed my weekly CBC's to every other week. I guess that is good news...right? Why do I feel so mixed up about it?

I think one of the hardest part of ITP is the lingering uncertainty. It took me 5+ years to stop wondering about every weekly CBC and now every next weekly CBC seems critical to know what's happening. I worry about still being in freefall (215 -> 27 in 6 weeks after 10 years of 300ish). I pray you'll find a source of strength in peace to guide you - every day is bringing me a "little" more peace via my Lord and Savior - I wish I could claim its easy but in truth I'm still struggling.

May you find the blessing of peace.

Blessings of enough...
Faith to trust our Lord
Joy to share with others
Strength to help the weak
Love to share with the hurting

Gretchen - this is part of allowing ITP to slide to the back burner and trying to go back to normal life. You can always go in for a CBC if you feel the need. Sometimes CBC's become overkill during times of stability. You're doing good, girl!

thank you for the responses. Steve, I do have that relationship with my Lord and Savior also. That is the only way I get through any day! Thank your for the prayers, I'm a firm believer in the power of prayer. Sandi, letting ITP slide to the back burner....I guess that's the struggle! I wish there was a prescription for that! Though I might not take it cuz I don't like taking pills!! LOL. Thank you for the encouragement.

I'm so happy for you! I've been watching your posts because you finished the Rituxan when I was getting ready to start it.
It's been one week and a day since my last Rituxan infusion.

I hope I remain stable enough to have reduced testing - although, I will feel the exact same way if it actually happens.

Congratulations! Try to enjoy it!! :)
