And another question.....

Do any of you find that stress affects your count? Be it at work, at home or just in general - do you notice if your count stays the same or drops?

I personally don't see any difference. Ran into a fellow patient in the hemo's office and her history would indicate that major stresses seem to trigger major drops for her (husband's heart attack, brother's death, etc.

Yes stress defin. triggers my count...my mom passed away from cancer in January and out of the blue I had a massive dark dark bruise that ran from my hand up my wrist and I honestly do not remember banging my hand anywhere.
I try to be as stress free as possible, practice yoga, deep breathing etc...but in life it's hard to sometimes.
Yes stress does trigger my count to drop!

2008, was my graduation year , platelets weren't too bad , but the days of the exams .. i fainted & went to the hospital ...

stress affects the count , sadness does too

I have noticed that stress does seem to contribute to my low platelets, I sometimes stress myself out that much that I make myself sick and sickness also makes them low as well
