For as long as I can remember I've had these bumps on my legs that someone told me were vericose veins. They don't have any color, just bumps. They seem to be getting like.....longer, not bigger like a bigger bump, but longer and taking up more space on my leg, still no color. And I am noticing a whole lot more spider veins on my legs. They aren't pretty! Is this part of the ITP thing, or am I just getting older?

Personally I'd rather have a doctor diagnose varicose veins :)

www.mayoclinic.com/health/varicose-veins/ds00256
www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/001109.htm

You can probably find some photos online too.

My opinion: Getting older.

I don't think it's related to ITP, but could be related to Prednisone if you've been on it recently. Prednisone thins the skin and makes things like that more visible.

interesting about the prednisone. I was on 100mg for a little over a month but that was 2 months ago. I'll ask the doc on Wednesday. Thanks your your input.
