tattoos and ITP was created by wyatt
my son who is 18 and has had chronic ITP since age 13 wants to get a tattoo.  His numbers have hovered around 48,000-55,000 for the past year.  he most recently had his highest count in the past year of 77,000 .  if he stays at 77,000, can he safely get a tattoo?

  • ITP since 2014. Retired nurse. My belief is empower patients to be involved as much as possible in their care. Read, read, read & ALWAYS question medics about the evidence base they use.

 Open  the Search  tab and type in tattoo; search entire posts,  by any date;  you will return several topics  to peruse.

Congratulations to your son on the 77k count! 

As mrsb said this has been talked about before so a search is a good idea.
