Petechiae with good numbers

Has anyone experienced having petechiae even with good platelet numbers? A few weeks ago I had petechiae on my back from using a workout bench while bench pressing. Looked carefully at the top of my feet and saw a few. When I went to the hospital to be seen, the b/p machine left petechiae on my upper arm. Labs came back half an hour later and platelets were T 270k. Weird. Anybody else have petechiae with good numbers?

With my platelets around 80, I had blood perfusion OT therapy for tennis elbow, which essentially involves doing weight lifts with a blood pressure cuff inflated. After the first therapy I noted a couple dozen very small petechiae on the same arm. My hematoligist wasn't worried at all, said that would have caused petechiae on her. She said as long as I didn't mind how they looked, keep going to therapy. They went away within a day.

Not quite the same as your story, but with weight lighting some of it may be normal. My MD suggested that the symptomatic petechiae you should be on the lookout for are those that appear on the lower legs.

Yeah that’s weird right? Just went and had another CBC done. 274k. Maybe my skin is just more sensitive now. Not sure. Thank you for sharing your similar issues. I appreciate that.

Hello.
Yes, long time ago I've had petechiae with good counts. Hematologist said it was capilar fragility and gave me vitamin C

I am back at the gym and my numbers are ranging between 50s and 90s. Most in the mid 70's, but yesterdays were 55. I get some petachiea on my oblique's when I am lifting heavy, but it is not heavy by any means.
