Johnson & Johnson vaccine?

This caught my attention, concerning the pause on the J&J vaccine: "The seven women had clotting in the brain and a considerably low level of platelets, parts of the blood that help form normal clots." When/if this vaccine is renewed, would you, as someone with ITP, be willing to receive the dose? I've been waiting for availability, but now am having doubts.

I would risk it if it were me, it carries a much lower risk than dying from Covid

Fay, I've had the JnJ and would get the booster if it becomes available. I'd simply be alert to what symptoms to look for and get myself to hospital immediately if
I have new or worse symptoms in those categories. The risk of getting COVID and getting a ITP (Low platelet disorder) from this is much greater. If you take systemic estrogen I'd carefully check and see how many of the women were taking this who had life threatening results with JnJ. Each person needs to look at any 'pre-existing risk factors both to COVID and to vaccines and weigh their decisions accordingly. I've for example had an allergic reaction to an injection of Novacaine and many other allergic reactions. So, I prepared by having my inhaler with me, having an antihistamine with me and being next to a clinic with an Epipen where further help could be give to counteract any adverse reactions.

It's been a little over two months since my JnJ vaccine and for the first time in my life I am noticing what I think is petechiae on my forearm. For the past week I have also had an inflamed, large cyst on my back. I have not taken antibiotics because of having so many negative side effects from them in the past. If this spreads throughout my body I'll go to the hospital this evening but if it remains localized to my forearm I'll wait until I see my doc tomorrow and request a platelet test. My BP has also been fluctuating quite a bit. Last Friday felt dizzy and was 115 over 95 with a low grade fever then at docs was 170 over 100. Yesterday I had chest pains and BP was up again 175 over 105 and 180 once medics came. EKG checked out ok and I was told to take 4 82mg aspirin before medics came...so this may have caused the petechiae on my arm. Don't think JnJ 'caused' this but once I know my platelet count since I am in the study for ITP and COVID vaccine I will report this. I don't see any way to send photos or I would post one. Even when I was 60k I never got petechiae before so this is stressful for me.
