ITP and testosterone in males was created by davepallay
I actually only became aware of my low platelet count after a routine blood test and checking my testosterone levels... which are also low. Wondering if anyone has heard of a link between testosterone in men and ITP?

Interestingly Danazol which is a modified testosterone is very occasionally given to treat ITP. Not that that shows anything either way. Do you have ITP or just a low platelet count?

After doing a search of the word 'testosterone' here on PDSA forum, no post seemed to indicate a link.

This post by 'jwest52' was interesting on the subject of testosterone and Danazol. He suggests testosterone suppresses the immune system.
