I was diagnosed with ITP back in 2015. I went through the normal prednisone treatment, and by the end of it, my count was back within the normal rage, and I haven't had an episode since. I assume it was acute, brought on by a viral infection. I still have my spleen, and I wasn't given a blood transfusion.

Will anyone accept my blood anymore? I used to donate fairly regularly; not only is my blood type is O-, but I'm one of the 15% of adults that is CMV negative (to I was prior to 2015). With my limited research, I just assumed I could no longer donate blood or platelets, and I had the DMV remove my organ donor label from my drivers license. I assume they no longer want my organs, either?

As far as I know , If it is 6 months (Or a year , I'm not sure ) That you are in Remission (No itp treatment + Normal platelet count + Having your spleen ) You can donate blood .
I'm not sure if how does having had Rituximab treatment effects your donation condition .
And , You must not have been given any blood product within past year . In some countries (like UK I Think ) If you have been given IVIG , You cannot donate blood forever But that might not be the rule in other countries .
The key point is they want to make sure you have fully recovered yourself , not by Splenectomy OR Rituximab

Latest UK guidelines
Immune Thrombocytopenia
You may donate provided:
1. You have no symptoms relating to this condition (such as bleeding or bruising)
2. You have been fully recovered and off all treatment for 5 years or more
3. Your platelet count is higher than 120
4. You have not been treated with a plasma exchange or any other blood product since 1st January 1980
You may donate even if you require antibiotics to prevent infection following a splenectomy as long as all of the above also applies.

What I did was call the blood donation center near me [and it was the 1st one that got blood to NYC after 9/11] and talk to the head of the center - told him my story and he got back to me with an answer. If I were you that's what I'd do, then you have an answer straight from the horses mouth.
