Low dose naltrexone for lupus and ITP

Has anybody had any experience or know about low dose naltrexone with Lupus and ITP?

No, it hasn't been used by anyone here that I'm aware of. The question comes up every once in a while, but doctors are very reluctant to use it. I asked my Rheumatologist once (I have Lupus too) and got a flat out 'no'. I didn't understand why because they are very willing to prescribe much worse drugs (like Methotrexate).
