I really haven't missed too much work, just days for IVIG treatments, but today I'm exhausted and dizzy. I want to go home and sleep, but feel bad taking off work just because I'm tired. I did call dr. and was told if it keeps up or gets worse to see if my primary dr can see me or go to ER.
Anyone else have guilt about missing work or feel like I need to toughen up???

I felt bad taking off of work. I went for CBC's during my lunch hour and scheduled Dr. appointments at the end of the day. I didn't do IVIG because it took too long and was too temporary to be worth the time. I did miss Rituxan days, but felt the four days would be worth it if I responded. I pushed myself because I knew that if I wasn't there, someone else had to pull my load. I mostly felt the worst when counts were low or during Prednisone use and just pushed through it. I totally understand how you feel because I was the same way. I wish I had answers for you. I was always afraid that if I couldn't keep up, they would find someone else who could.

Hi Moe,
It can be hard, especially if you have a team that is counting on you. But remember - if you don't rest when your body is whispering "rest please", it will get louder and scream at you with extreme fatigue, dropping counts, bleeding etc.

Take care of yourself! <3

Depending on the type of work you do, you might consider asking for some sort of accommodation like working from home when you are feeling a little tired
