Ugh! That sounds horrible.
I really aren't having any side effects on it except for the increased BP. I sleep great, no increased appetite. No moon face. I actually lost 4 pounds! No emotional roller coaster. Hate the thought of having horrible side effects coming off! Lol!

Ack, I found out today the dose of my premed Dex is 10 mg.

That's 1/4 of a full strength Dex pulse and for 5 days (IVIG is for 5 days) instead of the pulse of 4 days. No wonder I had difficulty getting to sleep last night.

LOL, I feel like my doc has slipped me a mickey...

I am not sure how much I get of decadron before my Rituxan. I will have to ask. Is that the same thing as "dex"? But I don't get sleepy or wired....

Yes, Dex, Dexamethasone, and Decadron are all the same thing. Not sleepy or tired? LOL, solid proof that everyone reacts a little different.

Don't tell your doc it doesn't affect you - else you'll be on full Dex pulse by last treatment :P

Ha! Yes, I checked in my health portal. It is 10mg decadron. Plus, I am still on the 50 of prednisone. I am not complaining about the no side effects, believe me! But, I haven't had any changes in my sleep. Although, my dex is only once a week.

I asked my nurse today about the 10 mg Dex premed. She said it was standard premed dose for IVIG (no mickey). I dunno, seems a bit much, but if it works to prevent headache during infusion - I'm game.
