My platelets are 19. I got a bad bruise in July that went away and now I can see it again (Oct)!
Has anyone ever had this happen? What does it mean? I was suppose to get blood test and see doc today but all delayed due to hurricane situation (Fla).

I've never heard of a bruise "coming back". Are you sure you didn't re-injure/bump the area? I used to have a recurring bruise on my hip, finally realized it was from bumping my desk when I left the office at work (desk was between me and the door.....)

I'd say it's just a coincidence that another one appeared in the same spot. Either that or as Tamar said, you somehow bumped the same spot. I used to do that when leaving my desk area - I'd bump my hip against the corner of my desk. Sometimes we do things that we're not aware of. With low counts, bumping yourself against something doesn't have to really hurt for a bruise to appear.

Good luck to you and yours! My folks used to live Florida and got hit by Charley.

I used to tell my husband the location when I'd bump myself because I'd forget about it and then wonder why I had a bruise and then he could remind me. Now I don't even think about it - but have noticed that the bruises are leaving a very faint discoloration that lasts a heck of a long time.
