I have been searching the site for information on whether there ar3 any issues wirth taking Reclast. MY Gp wanted to start with the 5 year plan to take Reclast once a year for 5 years. I have have searched to see if there is any issues for ITP. I did receive the infusion yesterday. I do have the top complaint with muscle and joint pain. Reclast is taken for osteoarthritis. Any comments ot information ?

My thought is always that any drug could potentially cause a platelet drop. Drug side effect lists are not complete. A side effect will not be listed if it is not reported to the FDA or if a side effect is not connected to the drug. Even if a side effect is on the list, that doesn't mean that you will get that side effect.

According to the British National Formulary thrombocytopenia is an uncommon side effect
