I have been on varying doses of Predsnisone since February because of my low blood platlet counts and I am experiencing severe stomach pains now on 6mgs. I take Protonix with my medication but I still have pain, any thoughts about this?

If I were having severe stomach pains I'd call my doctor.

I'd get that checked out too. Prednisone itself does not cause stomach pain, but ulcers can. There are many other reasons also. I had severe stomach pain for over a year and finally tied it to yogurt. Yes, I'm an idiot and didn't go to the doctor. For some reason, it was causing severe constipation. I'd call your GP.
