hi all,
Any one help me out Please.. Long story short.. 6 months back doctor found my platelets counts drop .
During that time I am pregnant. They gave the prednisone, IVIG and managed the counts. Recently C section suddenly had a pre mature baby. After delivery again my platelets going to dropping 7000 only. my hematologist gave the infusion platelets and next day gave the NPlatelet injection.
After one week checked the count then again dropped below 10000. Same day 2nd injection gave it to me. After 6thday today he checked it dropped again 25000.He is saying one more injection will give next 2 days. I am worrying about my situation please help me some information…
I never have this platelet problem before pregnancy. I am living in Dallas, texas.. if any one know better doctor or detail information please.

From what you say there, your count hasn't dropped again, it's actually gone up from 10 to 25 which is really good and just what you'd expect from Nplate. The idea with Nplate is to keep the count around 50 (50,000) so you are nearly there. It's usual to go up and down a bit with Nplate so don't worry if it takes a while to get more stable. If your doctor doesn't understand that everything is going well then you may need to find another doctor who is more experienced with treating ITP.

I hope your baby is doing well, don't worry about ITP and enjoy your baby.

It can take time to get stable on N-Plate and it is normal to drop right before the next scheduled injection. A few injections of N-Plate will not usually keep platelets up long-term and you need to keep getting the shot to keep counts in a safe range (over 30k). I hope he is not planning to stop N-Plate after only a few weeks. Sometimes the dose needs to be raised to get a better response.
