No energy with ITP? was created by Shorty42112
I was diagnosed with ITP back in 2004 and the medicine did not work so I had to have a splenectomy. Since then my platelets are all over the place either really high or really low depending on the day. My question is I have not been feeling 100% for a long time... Tired, muscle and body aches, ect.... Is this from my chronic ITP? What can I do to feel better? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Some people feel fatigued with ITP but some do not. It would be a good idea to see your doctor and get checked out. Many times, people assume ITP is the cause of symptoms and they might be missing other things such as Vitamin deficiencies or other autoimmune disorders that are common with ITP.

I was just trying to stay away from the doctor. Any time I try to see her it's like a 3 month wait! Thank you for your response

I was talking about your GP. Was that who you meant?

You can't try to fix a problem without knowing what's wrong.
