Sounds like you might have Evans syndrome which means both platelets and red cells are attacked. Often this happens one at a time, so when one is attacked the other is not and so on. Have you ever had treatment?

You may need a Coombs test. It will show if you have antibodies against red cells. If so, then it's probably Evans.

My daughter has a platelet count of 103 & tested positive for Coombs also. She doesn't have any bleeding symptoms. I haven't been told about Evans syndrome.

I have Evans Syndrome. When my red cells are low my platelets go really high and when platelets crash my rbc goes high. I am coombs positive. If your counts are just low normal with either platelets or hemoglobin/hematocrit they would not treat you but might give you folic acid, b vitamins and iron.

wbc - low normal
rbc - slightly below normal
hemoglobin - slightly below normal
hematocrit - low normal
mcv - low normal
mch - slightly below normal
mchc - normal
rdw - normal

Chels - you really should ask your doctor. It could be something as simple as a B-12 deficiency or low ferritin. None of them look all that bad and I would hope that if it were concerning, your doctor would say something. Usually if labs are low normal or just slightly below, it's not much of a concern. With platelet counts, we know that although 150k is the norm on most reference ranges, having a count of 100k is okay even though it's lower than normal. Different labs have different reference ranges too so what is low as far as your lab may not be according to another lab. When do you see him next?

This reference range shows your mch in the normal range. It's a different number than the one I used above.

Normal Results

MCV: 80 - 100 femtoliter
MCH: 27 - 31 picograms/cell
MCHC: 32 - 36 grams/deciliter

The examples above are common measurements for results of these tests. Normal value ranges may vary slightly among different laboratories. Some labs use different measurements or may test different samples. Talk to your doctor about the meaning of your specific test results.

Chels, your bloods look fine. What is it that you are concerned about?

The lymph node thing is separate. I've got that problem too.

Is he going to do anything about it? It's probably not low enough to treat, just monitor. Did you ask him if it's a concern?
