I have been off pred since end of November and last week out of nowhere I got this horrible pain in my hip and it gets worse when I walk. Just wondered if this could be from the pred any thoughts would b great. other than ipt I am a healthy 32yr old female mother of 4 amazing daughters. Thanks

Most likely it is the Prednisone causing it, but Prednisone can cause both arthritis or Avascular Necrosis. It's unlikely that you have either, but I'd check with my GP and see what he thinks.

Is it just on one side?

Hip pain may also be the result of the muscles that are stressed out from the Predni.
Steroids make the muscles week.
If I take them for a while I have more cramp and get back pain.
