Need an ITP Doc in the Atlanta area was created by msbongi
Can anyone recommend a dr. in the Atlanta metro area that specializes in adult chronic ITP? My current dr. is okay but is mainly focused on cancer. Thanks.

Most Hemo's do specialize in Oncology more than ITP and some can be quite good in spite of that. There are some duds out there, but if your doctor is up to date with ITP, he can be just as good as a specialist.

I saw an ITP Specialist once....took all day driving and waiting for her to tell me to continue with Prednisone when counts dropped. I already had that advice from my regular small town doctor who was 15 minutes away.
