B12 and Platelet increase was created by Lady Elly
Hi:
I have had some increase in my cbc which I feel might be due to B12 injections. Was wondering if anyone else has had B12 injections and had any increase in platelet count?

Also, are there any known side effects due to higher than normal levels of B12? If so, please advise.

My platelets have been quite low for the past year. They have been around 6k - 9 k since last January. However, May 26, they were 6k, and July 9th they were 19k and July 25th, they were 26k. So I am thrilled they have gone up to 26k.

Thank you for any input on this subject.

B12 is a water-soluble vitamin. That means if you get too much your body will get rid of it in your urine. Fat soluble vitamins can build up in your body and cause problems.

Hi Ananta:

Thank you for your reply. My hematologist said B12 is water-soluble and urine out. When I googled - B12 injection overdose. There was a lot of scary info about high levels of B12.
