My plaletet count went up to 14 now they went down to 9. I am taking cyclophosphamide. I have been taking it since 7/6/12 now I have lumps on my L arm I have 4 of them. One on the L foot one lump. On the other arm is one and one the foot is one. Is this a side effect to this medicine? No body at the hospital knows what it is.

Pharmacists are a good reference for questions about side effects of drugs. Also it seems like the cytoxan isn't really raising your counts - how long should it take?

Maybe you should see a dermatologist?

Sounds like an allergic reaction. I'd stop taking it if it were me.

Although lumps as such aren't listed as a side effect, other sorts of skin reactions are like hives, and Steven Johnson syndrome and epidermal necrolysis. So it's not hugely unlikely that it might be the drug.

I had a np look at them and they said, the medicine would never do this.

What's an np?

They said all my pains weren't a side effect of CellCept and sent me to a rheumatologist who had me down as having lupus then Sjogrens and then arthritis. Guess what? Stopped the drug and it all went away.
