Can Rituxin (Mabthera) still work?

Hi,
I received Mabthera (Rituxin) for ITP. After first session the platelets rose, and also after second session. However two days after third session they fell.
Can they still work although they went up and fell so fast and throughout treatment?
I receive Nplate and Prednisone, but they stopped working. I am not a candidate for splectonomy.
What other treatments can you recommend?

The changes in counts you saw during your 1-3rd infusions may have been regular fluctuations. It is very rare for Rituxan to work so soon. I would say you have no information yet as to whether Rituxan will work for you. Usually it kicks in in the 4th through 12th weeks.

Erica is right. Rituxan usually doesn't work that fast. You still have time.
