Ok, I know we have all see a million "I have experienced this, and so has 1 other person with ITP, so it must be true for all of us" posts but I do have a question along those lines.

Last night I was talking with someone else who is in remission from ITP and she mentioned having just had a lung funtion test because she found out she has diminished lung capacity after ITP. If ound this really interesting because I'm running a lot lately, and have been for about 6 months aroudn 3 times a week, and while my legs are getting better, my lungs aren't. I'm proabably reaching for straws, but has anyone else experienced that after ITP? I'm honestly not usually one to blame everything on ITP, especially now that I have normal counts but I thought I would throw it at the board and see if anything stuck.

It's possible that a treatment may have caused a problem, but it's not ITP related.

Interesting how we all are different.
I had a battery of lung tests 3 years ago. My lungs were just fine, no problems. No diminished capacity, no nothing. One doctor thought I had asthma, hence the testing.
By that time, I had been treated for ITP for several years (steroids, then immune suppressants).

BTW: The 'asthma' turned out to just be me singing in smokey biker bars way too much back then; inhaling clouds of blue 2nd-hand smoke, and exhaling notes of hard Blues.

That sounds like the best explanation for non-asthma that I have heard! Or at least the most interesting ;)
